Save money on registration fees - FlipGive

Hello WCRFC club members,

WCRFC is excited to offer our members an opportunity to reduce their soccer players registration fees and support the club, all while doing their regular day to day shopping.

We have opened up an account with the fundraising company FlipGive.  (www.FlipGive.com).

FlipGive has a website and app which enables members to earn cash for the things they are already buying.  Members earn cash when they shop online with certain brands or purchase digital or physical gift cards that can be used at local stores.  Some of the local retailers that are associated with FlipGive include Sobeys, Superstore, No Frills, ESSO, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Montana’s, Swiss Chalet, Harveys, Old Navy, Home Depot, Home Hardware, Indigo and many more.

In order for our members to get a direct benefit from this program WCRFC will take half of any money raised and put it directly towards the members registration fees.  The other half of the money raised will go to the club to help pay for costs associated with running the club.  As an example: If a member earns $100 in cash back from FlipGive, $50 goes towards registration and $50 stays with the club.

Members sign up with their own account through the WCRFC “team” account and FlipGive tracks each member’s purchases.  There are many success stories on the FlipGive website about teams that have raised thousands of dollars using FlipGive and I heard of a hockey parent on PEI who was able to raise $175 already this season.  You can also add others, grandparents, aunts and uncles or friends to your account to raise cash for your member’s registration.

The sign-up process is very quick and easy and the FlipGive app is very user friendly.  Once you enter your credit card information into the app you can purchase digital gift cards which are kept in the wallet of the app for use when you shop at your local store, get gas, or eat at a restaurant.  It actually seems too easy, but it does work and every purchase adds to your total.
